On the 31st of July 1754 the future Marshal Bon Adrien Moncey was born. His father was a lawyer.
Although he refused to take part in the Russian campain of 1812 he fought at the gates of Paris in 1814. At the fall of Bonaparte he supported Louis XVIII, was neutral during the 100 days and refused to be involved in the trial of Ney.
